Is your leadership style no longer effective with today’s young employees? Why do they seem less motivated to perform to your expectations? Millennials are a powerful and passionate part of the workforce, and their sense of honor and value system are totally different from prior generations.

Please join us in welcoming Susan Inouye, executive coach and bestselling author of Leadership’s Perfect Storm: What Millennials Are Teaching Us about Possibilities, Passion and Purpose. Ms. Inouye is a top expert on leadership and millennials, having worked with more than 600 companies in 40 industries over the past 20 years. She’ll share a proven approach called Sawubona Leadership (Zulu for “I see you”) that has been introduced in over 30 countries. In this 90-minute interactive session, she will explain how you can create a shared future through:

  • Understanding the three drivers of the perfect storm happening in leadership today

  • Embodying the five “LeadersShifts” that engage generations—especially millennials—so they become innovative and self-directed, with a deep commitment to the company’s success

  • Practicing Gift-Centered strategies that build a culture in which people go beyond just doing a job to fulfilling your mission

This method has allowed Ms. Inouye to turn around companies and cultures for more than a decade and is at the heart of her life purpose, as exemplified by the Congressional Award she received from the US government for her outstanding contributions to the community.

The event will be co-hosted by the Association for Women in Finance (AWF), a Tokyo-based volunteer organization that aims to provide women in finance a forum in which they can further their professional development, network and exchange information, and meet like-minded women of all nationalities.
