Analyst

Key Qualifications

  • Interest in public policy, politics and international business -Strong research and critical thinking skills

  • Self-starter who can make decisions and take action without being told -Native level Japanese reading and writing skills

  • Fluency in English preferred -Must currently reside in Japan.

  • Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate(s).

  • Ability to translate Japanese to English and English to Japanese

  • Graphic design skills a plus (creating infographics, charts, etc.)

Responsibility

  • Research and analyze public policy -Write, edit, and proof policy and market reports

  • Help ensure client satisfaction

  • Work with us in communicating with key stakeholders, including government officials, Diet members, academics, and media

  • Help preparing customized proposals to win new business

  • Assist in translation

  • Participate in marketing and sales activities, including social media management

  • General administrative support

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public policy, political science, international relations, or a related field

  • Working or internship experience in a ministry, agency, the Diet or a Diet member's office, or embassy will be an asset
