COVID-19 is one of the most significant challenges for consumer-facing businesses in recent history. The pandemic’s impact varies across the industry, with leisure and hospitality being hardest hit, and consumer packaged goods (CPGs) holding the line for certain categories while being tested in others. The challenge has been compounded by marked shifts in consumer behaviors, including digital adoption, changes in channel preferences, shifts in pack sizes purchased, and in trial purchases of new products and categories. All these changes have put greater pressure on supply chains, pricing and promo levers, and customer management structures.
Rakesh Mani and Takuro Okano from Strategy&, part of the PwC network, will present their views on the strategic areas of focus in the Japan market (e.g., supply chain, customer and revenue management, digital solutions, and sustainability) and how these priorities are being implemented to succeed in the ‘New Normal’ in the short and long-term. This webinar will highlight a handful of case studies from players in the industry to bring to life the challenges these companies face and their journeys ahead.
Joining as panelists to bring the responses of industry participants to light are a couple of senior CPG and Retail executives in Japan, respectively: Florian Kohlbacher, Head of Strategy & Planning at Coca-Cola Japan Co., and Pascal Gerbert-Gaillard, Asia Director at Bio C’ Bon Japon.
