Digital Communications Associate
The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) is looking for a dynamic, innovative professional to work with our Communications team to contribute to marketing initiatives and enhance the ACCJ’s digital and social presence.
We seek a creative and motivated team player with a positive attitude who brings innovative ideas and takes initiative in a fast-paced environment. As a communicator with strong design, marketing, and social media skills, you will work with the team to conceptualize and produce promotional materials, social media, and website content, including photography and video on our digital platforms.
Must work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and support a fast-paced working environment. This requires strong attention to detail, excellent project management, and strong communication skills.
This is a hybrid position is based in Tokyo. The candidate must reside in Japan at the time of application.
Responsibilities
(including but not limited to)
Marketing and Promotional Materials Development
Design visual marketing and promotional materials, including graphics, flyers, newsletters, infographics, presentations, videos
Create print materials, including banners, posters, brochures
Digital Content and Social Media Management
Front-end website design, including refreshed content
Producing engaging material such as blog posts, videos, and graphics
Manage social media accounts, focus on building and engaging online communities through various social platforms
Utilize analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven improvements to the website and social media strategy
Ensure content is published across various platforms in a timely and coherent manner
Photography and Videography
Manage multimedia production including photography and videography for events, video recordings of remarks and interviews to be used for the Journal, website, and social media
Utilize graphics and videos to convey key messages about ACCJ activities and initiatives
Qualifications
Experience in visual design, photography, and videography
Experience in creating content for digital channels and social media platforms
Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Strong capacity to prioritize and multitask under tight timelines
Proficient in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), video editing (e.g. DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut) website and content management systems (Squarespace), mailing platforms (Mailchimp), Google Suite, Canva
Fluent English-language skills; Japanese-language skills are a plus
Experience with podcast or audio recording software a plus, but not required
BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field a plus
