Stryker Japan

Stryker Japan is committed to helping Japan address COVID-19. Stryker Japan has made donations of personal protection equipment (PPE), such as gowns, to Hokkaido where the demand was critically high.

Stryker has also made efforts to bring the equipment needed in Japan to safely and effectively treat those with COVID-19. To support demand for medical beds, Stryker Japan released in early May 2020 its Emergency Relief Bed, which was developed in March 2020 and has features to accommodate those suffering from respiratory distress and a nylon mattress appropriate for alcohol sanitization. Stryker Japan also released its Emergency Relief Patient Cover that provides an additional barrier to protect healthcare workers by covering patients who may be infected with COVID-19. The cover’s design allows for medical intervention, such as CPR, to be performed without removal of the protective barrier.

Working with healthcare facilities and local governments in response to the urgent medical needs, Stryker Japan is contributing to the ability of the Japanese health care system to meet critical public health needs.
