Event Overview
The Legal Services and Intellectual Property Committee has held its popular online Wine Down event several times, and this month the gathering will be co-hosted by the new Digital Society Pillar and the Information, Communication, and Technology Committee. Several new initiatives are afoot within the chamber that focus on technology and its impact on society, and this month’s Wine Down will provide an outstanding opportunity to speak with the leaders of each to discuss the vision, direction and intersection of our committees.
Pour a glass of wine, a Quarantini, or an oolong tea and take part in a short ice-breaker activity to get to know fellow attendees better. Afterwards, the committee leaders will briefly talk about their mandate and what is top-of-mind as we move deeper into a digital world. Then we will open it up for questions and discussion of any topic, including, if you want, how we spent our summer staycations.
The rules are simple: in the spirit of togetherness and creating a space as close as possible to being in a bar together, this will be a “video-on” event but off the record.
We look forward to seeing you!
