COPING WITH STRESS AND BUILDING STRONGER FAMILIES DURING COVID-19

THIS IS A FREE VIRTUAL EVENT

SPEAKERS: Billy Cleary, TELL Japan Clinical Director
Ai McShane, personal and academic counselor at the American School in Japan (ASIJ)
HOSTING COMMITTEES: Human Resources Committee and Special Events Committee

The impact of isolation, stress, and uncertainty on families during the coronavirus pandemic can be significant. We’re all being affected by Covid-19, and helping parents regain some confidence and control is important.

In this session, parents will gain insight into the feelings behind the behavioral changes they may notice in their children and learn how to help them cope.

Ai McShane from ASIJ will give an overview of the feedback she has received from students K–12 and their families on how the pandemic and distance learning are impacting them socially and emotionally. Billy Cleary from TELL Japan will help us focus on our current family context to look at how and why the pandemic stretches and strains our most intimate relationships.

If you are feeling stress during this extended period of isolation and disruption to normal life—and need to help your loved ones cope as well—be sure to join this free presentation.
