When talking about building towards a better future, one word is never far from earshot, and that is ‘Sustainability’. We see the word at the core of so many defining themes and issues, from reducing our environmental impact, to adapting and innovating new business strategies to better address key topics like biodiversity and D&I. It frequents conversations set by governments and businesses alike, brought to the forefront of a new type of consumer or client, who cares about the ethics of where products come from, the underlining principles of how decisions are made, and the overall way in which a company operates in the social, ecological and economic environment.
No matter what industry is in focus, knowing how to integrate sustainability is not only relevant, but essential. And building a workforce that understands this is a must if a company wants to connect with society and create long-term value. In order to develop a community of sustainability advocates and professionals, we must understand and develop the mindset and skills necessary to support its many branches.
Join us on Monday 29 March from 1700-1830, when we will be joined by a panel of experts to decipher how as individuals, we can develop ways to open up sustainable opportunities within our careers, and together make a positive social and environmental impact at your organisation or institution.
Among other themes, we will cover:
connecting opportunities between sustainability and business
the many ways sustainability can be applied within different industries (not just in “sustainability roles”)
the mindsets and skills needed to make an impactful change in the workplace
insights into what skills companies are seeking in employees to strengthen their CSR approach
