Internship Description: The Office of the Chief Innovation Officer, CIC Tokyo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented analyst to support our team to research and analyze innovation ecosystems, economic trends, and policy developments in emerging sectors like AI, robotics, space tech, and others. The analyst will support a variety of research projects, including the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data in relation to innovation and economic indicators. The objective of the research led by the Chief Innovation Officer is to track global and local innovation policies and the resulting effects to develop new strategic thinking for innovation. Research projects may encompass tracking global innovation policy trends, conducting country-level and city-level economic and network analysis, measuring the effects of innovation (i.e. employment data, GDP, investment data, and other proxy indicators), and compiling data into charts and visualizations.

Working Location: CIC Tokyo, Toranomon Business Hills Tower

Pay & Reimbursements: Approximately 3000 yen / hour, depending on experience and specialty

Internship Length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs

Working Hours Per Week: Maximum 20 hours

Parameters on Eligibility: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese, Must be able to work in Japan without a visa sponsorship
