Internship Description: Kojima Law Offices (KLO) offers an internship program structured into four cycles per year, each lasting up to three months. Interns will gain exposure to corporate law practices, including legal research, case preparation, and professional development. Work volume and assignment types vary depending on client needs. Self-motivated interns will find opportunities to learn and develop their legal skills. The program is ideal for law students or recent law school graduates interested in international corporate law.
Interns are responsible for securing their own accommodation and handling all aspects of living in Tokyo. The program offers valuable exposure to international corporate law, but interns must be proactive in seeking learning opportunities.
Working Location: Tokyo, Japan
Pay & Reimbursements: Internships are unpaid by default. However, candidates with financial concerns may request consideration for compensation in writing. In some cases, KLO may offer financial assistance for internship hours or other costs on a case-by-case basis.
Internship Length: Flexible periods. Minimum of 4 weeks, with internships lasting up to 3 months.
Working Hours Per Week: The internship is typically full-time, but specific hours may depend on workload and intern availability.
Parameters on Eligibility:
Language: English is the primary working language. Japanese proficiency is not required but may be beneficial.
Student Status: Open to undergraduate and graduate law students with an interest in corporate law.
Work Authorization: Interns must ensure they have the legal authorization to participate in the internship in Japan. KLO does not provide visa sponsorship or immigration support.
