Roberto Mitrotti

Roberto Mitrotti’s life work has always been at the confluence of film, fashion, and art.

He opened groundbreaking fashion boutiques from Madison Avenue to Rodeo Drive, designed the “looks” of Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson and Elton John and was Universal Pictures consultant in the creation of the look for the series “Miami Vice”.

He founded RPM Media producing documentaries and TV programs aired in over 20 countries including “The Compulsive Traveler” series which he hosted on CBS Television.

His feature “Stealing Chanel” won Best Director at the International Film Festival of Manhattan in 2015 and is in worldwide distribution by Lifetime Television and A&E Networks.

His paintings have been exhibited in close to 50 European and American museums including the groundbreaking “Pool” show in Moscow in 1990, the first exhibition of American artists in Russia since the Bolshevik Revolution. His paintings and conceptual work are in permanent Museum collections from Jerusalem to Hiroshima.

彼はマディソン・アヴェニューからロディオ通りにかけて画期的なファッションブティックをオープンし、ミック・ジャガー、マイケル・ジャクソン、エルトン・ジョンのルックスをプロデュースした。また、ユニバーサル・ピクチャーズ“Miami Vice”シリーズのルックスコンサルタントを務めた。

RPM Mediaを設立し、自身が司会も努めたCBSテレビ“The Compulsive Traveler”シリーズをはじめ、世界20カ国以上で放送されたドキュメンタリーやテレビ番組を制作。

長編作“Stealing Chanel”は2015年マンハッタン国際映画祭でベストディレクター賞を受賞し、Lifetime TelevisionやA&E Networksにて世界的に配信されている。

絵画作品は約50に及ぶ欧米の美術館にて展示され、特に1990年にモスクワで開催された「プール」展はボリシェヴィキ革命以降、ロシアで初めてのアメリカ人アーティストの展覧会という画期的なものだった。彼の絵画やコンセプチュアルな作品はエルサレムから広島まで、世界中の美術館にて永久保存されている。

Royi Akavia

Royi Akavia an artist, an entrepreneur, and a director of animation. Originally from Israel, after 28 years in the US, Royi moved to Japan in 2011 and now is working and living in Kobe and Ashiya.

Since the 1980’s Royi’s artwork has been displayed in several museums and galleries throughout the world, including the permanent collection of the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Norton Museum in Palm Beach FL. Aspen Museum, Colorado including museums in Japan; The Sezen Museum in Tokyo, Aichi Prefectural Museum in Nagoya and Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art in Hiroshima.  

Akavia is best known, for a series of works entitled “Faces That Make Money”.

芸術家、起業家、アニメーション監督。イスラエル出身。28年間アメリカで生活した後、2011 年日本に移住し、現在は神戸と芦屋を生活と仕事の拠点にしている。

1980 年代から、グッゲンハイム美術館、ノートン美術館、アスペン美術館、セゾン現代美術館、愛知県立美術館、広島市現代美術館などを含む世界各地の様々な博物館やギャラリーで作品を展示している。

最も著名な作品に、「Faces That Make Money」シリーズがある。価値の低い世界の貨幣にニスの層を重ねて作られたコラージュに、金を持って金を作り金を使う現代人の肖像画を描いている。また、表面はガラスのような 3D の質感を作り出すために火で焼かれている。

Dorit Schwartz

Dorit Schwartz’s innate curiosity and sense of the meta-physical fostered a lifelong kinship with nature and the elements therein. Schwartz’s work is indicative of a never-ending exploration of the synthesis of the natural and the spiritual. She began her artistic journey with clay, moved onto marble carving, and now works with wood and crystal. Her discovery and appreciation of the smooth-ness of acacia wood; the cool feel of marble; the roughness of discarded mortars; the vibrancy of colorful crystals and their healing properties magnified her admiration of both the old and the new. Thus, she began incorporating reclaim wood into her work, recovering its history and presenting it anew. As the Resident Artist for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Las Vegas Chapter, Dorit created the iconic sculptural work: “Celebration of Life.” Pieces from this collection can be seen at various landmark locations throughout the city of Las Vegas. Dorit’s sculptures can also be found on permanent display in numerous private collections around the world, with prominent pieces in London, Zurich, Paris, Los Angeles, and New York.

Dorit Schwartz の生来の好奇心と形而的なセンスは、自然とその要素を内包している。Schwartz は作品を通して自然と精神の統合を絶えず探し求めている。作品はクレイから大理石のカービングを経て、現在は木材とクリスタルを用いて制作される。アカシアの木の滑らかな質感、大理石の冷やかさ、うち捨てられた漆喰の粗雑さ、クリスタルの持つ鮮やかな色彩、そしてこれらが持つ癒しの力に気付いてからは、彼女に新しいもの・古いものへの感心をもたらすようになった。自然が残した木材を作品に使用し、木の歴史を取り戻し新しいものへと変貌させた。

Schwartz は St. Jude Children's Research Hospitalラスベガス支部のレジデント・アーティストとして彫刻作品 “Celebration of Life. （生命の祝賀会）” を制作した。一連の作品はラスベガス市内の多くのランドマークに展示されている。彼女の作品はまた、ロンドン、チューリヒ、パリ、ロサンゼルス、ニューヨークなど世界中のプライベートコレクションに収蔵されている。

Shlomo Tuvia

Shlomo Tuvia born in 1958 in Rehovot, Israel, Shlomo is a “The Neo Expressionist”

The story of Tuvia how he become an artist its extraordinary story. Both Father and Mother of Shlomo are deaf mutes without the ability to hear or speak. Unable to share the stories verbally, Tuvia’s father would draw pictures to express his thoughts of the day. As soon as Tuvia was able to hold a crayon, he began using drawings as a means of communication with his mother and father. This unique experience made his art become a path of true expression in his life and he became a truth artist. His artwork pre-sents the world solely from a subjective to perspective.

Shlomo Tuviaは 1958 年イスラエル Rehovot にて生まれた “The Neo Expressionist（新表現派）” である。彼がアーティストになったいきさつは稀に見るストーリーである。Shlomoの両親は聴覚に障害があり、話すことや聴くことが出来なかった。父親は言語での共有が出来なかったかわりに、その日一日の出来事や考えを絵に描いて表現した。Tuvia はクレヨンが持てるようになると両親とのコミュニケーションの手段として絵を描き始めた。このユニークな経験は彼の人生においてアートが真実を示す道であり、彼を真実を描くアーティストにした。作品を通じ独特の主観的な世界観を表現している。

DAAS

DAAS b.1973

American contemporary artist; widely known for his bold, colorful, geometric paintings and murals.

DAAS produces images that combine representational, cubist and abstract elements resulting in recognizable forms such as humans and animals.

The angles and lines of the work are reminiscent of origami folds and utilize a distinguishable array of color combinations to convey emotion and put forward a positive narrative. After moving to Japan in 2007 and working for Universal Studios Japan (USJ) for a number of years, he directed his focus back to Fine Art and Muralism, exhibiting in multiple Solo and Group shows, while also being commissioned to create murals around the world.

DAAS（ダース）幾何学的なデザインと大胆な色づかいの壁画、絵画で広く知られるアメリカン·コンテンポラリーアーティスト。ダースは具象的な要素と立体的で抽象的な要素を融合させて動物や人物を描く。

作品に見られる直線や角度は、まるで折り紙のようであり、識別された色と空間が作品を表現する。2007年から日本に拠点を移し、ユニバーサル ·スタジオジャパンで数年の活動を経た後、現代アートや壁画制作にキャリアを移行し、個展やグループ展で作品を発表する中、世界中で委託壁画作品を残している。

Clifford Land

Clifford Land is a Tennessee artist, originally from Detroit, Michigan. He began his professional career in advertising where he has worked both as Artist and as Art Director. Constricted by the prescriptions of commercialism, Clifford’s true excellence reveals itself in his realistic oil paintings where he is free to express his unique artistic temperament. Clifford’s most iconic works are paintings with symbols and icons from American Popular Culture. 

His subjects are our heroes, embodying those qualities most valued by our society. His paintings with figures possess charm, power, and dignity. His landscapes allow the viewer to be for a moment in another time, another place not encumbered with the pressures of today. His still lives have a fresh approach to beauty as well.

芸ミシガン州デトロイト出身。テネシー州在住。元広告業界アーティスト兼アートディレクター。クリフォード・ランドの真の芸術性は写実的な油絵による彼自身の独特な芸術的気質の表現にある。クリフォードの最も著名な作品にはアメリカのポピュラー文化の象徴やキャラクター達が描かれており、現代社会でのヒーローとしての素質を持つキャラクターを対象としている。彼の絵画には愛らしさと力強さと尊厳が共存し、その光景によって、見る者は今日抱える重圧に邪魔されることなく、別の時空間の世界観を体験することができる。また、静物画としても新しい「美しさ」を求めるアプローチをしている。

Eamon Harrington

Eamon Harrington is a television producer/director, and owner of Planet Grande Pictures, based in Malibu, Ca. Along with his business partner John Watkin, Eamon has been making television for over 30 years. Planet Grande Pictures specializes in unscripted and documentary projects, ”issue-oriented projects” as he calls them, which have won 7 Emmy Awards since 1992, the most recent being a doc on Alzheimer's Disease for HBO, called Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am?

Discovering painting late in life after his successful career in film, Eamon has been producing an extraordinary amount of energetic and luscious canvases which blend words, text and brushstrokes giving his painting a conceptual feel. Exhibiting in the communal “Red Ladder” Gallery in Malibu Eamon’s work has quietly been noticed by the well-travelled community and his paintings are now widely sought by collectors in California and the East Coast.

イーモン・ハリントンはマリブを拠点に活躍するテレビプロデューサー/ディレクターであり、Planet Grande Picturesのオーナー。３０年以上にわたり、ビジネスパートナーのジョン・ワトキンと共にテレビ制作を手掛けてきた。Planet Grande Picturesは台本のないドキュメンタリー、彼の言う「課題解決型プロジェクト」を専門としている。１９９２年以来、最近の作品であるH B Oのアルツハイマー病ドキュメンタリーGrandpa, Do You Know Who I Am?をはじめ、７回のエミー・アワードを受賞。
