Bayer vs. COVID-19

Globally Bayer is joining forces with the community in fighting back against COVID-19.

In close collaboration with authorities, industry partners, and other stakeholders, we are mobilizing resources to provide relief in the short term and find a suitable therapeutic in the medium term. In particular, we are engaged in financial and product donations, research cooperations, ensuring medicinal supply, and community support.

We are collaborating with government agencies, hospitals, doctors, and others to donate supplies and medicines to help those affected in Japan and around the world. We collaborated with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan and provided multiple drug compounds for screening of potential treatments of COVID-19.

We have also joined forces with other manufacturers in the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator Initiative, initiated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, thereby opening up our vast compound library to find and develop effective novel compounds against COVID-19. We are cooperating with governments and health authorities worldwide to provide them with available stock of Bayer products that have indicated early signs of potential efficacy in treating patients with COVID-19.

バイエルは、政府機関や企業と連携し、感染が拡大する地域への救援や、治療法開発の取 り組みへの協力を通じて、国内外の新型コロナウイルス感染症対策を支援しています。以 下をはじめとする資金援助や製品の無償提供、研究協力、医療用品の供給、地域支援を行 っています。 国内外において、感染が拡大する地域の政府や医療機関、医師らと連携し、物資や医 薬品の無償提供を行っています。 厚生労働省に協力し、新型コロナウイルス感染症の治療に用いる医薬品のスクリーニ ングに用いる原薬を国立感染症研究所に提供しました。また、海外ではビル&メリン ダ・ゲイツ財団が創設した新型コロナウイルス感染症の治療法開発のためのイニシア チブ「COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator Initiative」に参画し、バイエルの化合物ラ イブラリーをオープンにしました。 各国の政府や保健当局、研究者に協力し、新型コロナウイルス感染症に対する治療効 果の可能性が示唆される、バイエル製品を提供しています。
