A Night of Stars and Stripes 2024

Thank you to the over 400 members, partners and friends who joined us for our biggest networking event of the year to celebrate Independence Day and the ACCJ’s 75th Anniversary at our Night of Stars and Stripes!

What an unforgettable night to commemorate the strong U.S.-Japan alliance and bring the ACCJ community together through a special theme— music!

We were honored to welcome many senior officials from the U.S. and Japanese governments, including Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Takehiko Matsuo and Deputy Chief of Mission to the U.S. Embassy, Katherine Monahan who shared remarks.

ACCJ President Victor Osumi beautifully sang the national anthems of U.S. and Japan, and we were blown away by legendary guitarist Marty Friedman’s incredible performance!

Another highlight of the night was Fender’s presentation of two special guitars, an American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster and a Made in Japan Traditional 60s Stratocaster, to the ACCJ for our over 75 years of building U.S.-Japan ties.

Guests enjoyed delicious modern American dishes from Gramercy Tavern Executive Chef Michael Anthony, savored signature cocktails from Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve, and were treated to an immersive vinyl experience from ELAC.

This event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors and partners. Our deepest thanks for their support!
