ACCJ Supports NPO SAVE FOOD’s After School Program

The ACCJ Community Service Advisory Council has donated ¥250,000 to SAVE FOOD, a non-profit organization led by Ms. Joy Zhang, an ACCJ member.

SAVE FOOD provides food and a place for children to spend time after school in the Shirokane neighborhood in Tokyo. They ask food donations from nearby hotels and restaurants to simultaneously alleviate food loss problems. Children can come by after school and enjoy snacks and a light meal. They can also stay to complete their homework with other kids in the neighborhood.

The ACCJ’s donation will go towards providing children with tutors who will help them with homework.
