ACCJ Programs Staff Resources

With over 500 ACCJ programs hosted each year, resources with the ACCJ Programs Department are limited. 

The primary role of the Programs Department is to:

Support committee leadership and its members
Plan and implement programs

1. Programs Manager (Department Head) Responsibilities

  • Plan and support implementation of new programs

  • Coordinate the overall ACCJ event pipeline

  • Supervise and support Committee Coordinators

  • Maintain and develop a statistical database of events

  • Manage the department budget

  • Oversee the department’s resource requirements

  • Oversee large-scale, block-buster events


2. Committee Coordinators Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical support in organizing committee events

  • Select and secure an appropriate venue

  • Secure a date that will not conflict with any other ACCJ programs

  • Budget and set the attendance fee

  • Assist the committee chair in developing an effective flyer and ensure that the information is sent to the right people in a timely fashion

  • Monitor event sign-ups and further promote events if the sign-ups do not meet the expected attendance numbers

  • Provide support to the speaker and committee chair on the day of the event

  • Communicate with vendors and venues on the day of the event

  • Manage the registration desk on the day of the event and uphold the ACCJ’s attendance policy
